Our program aims to help you establish a ‘normal day’ or return to work, uni or school, and day to day life.

Through pacing activity and gradual return to activity, we are able to slowly and confidently build your capacity, without increasing your symptoms. We know this journey is a bit rocky so we give you the skills to deal with any future hurdles, through setback planning and providing you with a therapy manual you can turn to in times of need.

What can I expect from an initial assessment?

Session one will be an in-depth and thorough assessment to get to know you, your story, your circumstances and how it is we can work together. It is here that we discuss your roadmap and what your 1:1 program will look like. Your journey at AHC is tailored for you and with you. You can choose what it is you would like to learn, troubleshoot or strive for and we will adapt the program accordingly so we are meeting you where you are and with what you need. From there, sessions are typically 50 minutes, however can be adapted around your needs and capacity. You can do solely 6 sessions or you can build upon that further should you wish to further explore our curriculum or our other services (Dietetics, Occupational Therapy etc).

Group Programs

Our group programs have been created as a way for our patients to have access to support along with a community of others experiencing similar health journeys.

Our group programs cover everything above, however follow a slightly different layout. The group program is a structured 16-week program that takes a blended approach of group education sessions that are run by both an Exercise Physiologist and Dietitian and individually tailored treatment sessions.
